Abstract

In this article, our attention is directed to the definition of the essence of the concepts of "body" and "corporeality", which is due to an attempt to understand the aspirations of modern man in tattooing his body. Scientific approaches to the concepts of flesh, body, corporeality in Russian and foreign authors are considered. It is proved that since man is an emotional and sensual being, the human body is a special point of intersection of the outer and inner worlds, in which there is not only their contact, but also the understanding of man of his coexistence in this world. It is proved that from the point of view of socio – cultural approach corporeality is a product of cultural development, it is "socio-cultural phenomenon, it is transformed under the influence of social and cultural factors of the human body, which has socio-cultural values and meanings and performs certain socio-cultural functions. It is believed that the cause of the application of endless tattoos, disfiguring the human body, can be intrapersonal conflict, unformed identity, which leads to the absurdity of human behavior and the predominance of influences on his decision to tattoo the body – a team, a significant group, the Other. The article highlights that unity of physical and psychological aspects, making up the basis of a corporality concept, is brightly expressed in dancing (V.V. Kozlov, V.N. Nikitin, M. Chase, A. Stark etc.). This quality is widely used in a modern trend of dance and movement therapy.
